How do I make Groups?

Go to the "class info" icon on the menu bar.
T
ype in a group name where it says Class Group. Type the same name (like 'World History 2') for multiple classes and they will be in that group. Once you have a group set up, make an assignment and apply it to all the classes in that group.

How do I make Categories?  
How do I share an assignment with more than one class?

First, create a group that all the classes belong to.
Providing you have set up categories for the assignments, click on the check box for APPLY TO OTHER CLASSES IN GROUP

How do I print my Gradebook?

A. You have 2 choices.
You can either make your own report from the Reports menu in Powerschool or use one provided by the server.
Create Your Own
1. Open PowerGrade
2. Choose a class
3. Open Reports Menu
4. Create
5. Name the report
6. Under type choose Spreadsheet format
7. Choose the font size. The smaller the more will fit on 1 page
8. Set other options you want to see such as student name, assignment settings.
9. Under the student’s tab choose for all students enrolled in this class.
10. Print and adjust to your likingTo use one from the server

First you have to retrieve the report
1. Open Powergrade
2. Utilities
3. Synchronize with server
4. Choose SETTINGS ONLY
5. This will pull down a report called Grade_book_Printout_from_Ser
6. Choose Reports
7. Print
8. You may also edit the report for dates and such.
9. This report has the dates for first quarter. During the next quarter you will need to adjust those dates.
Now the report is stored on your computer. No further synchronization is necessary until another report is released.

Why do my grades show up as zeros? You most likely have your weights on each assignment set to zero.
1. Open up the assignment window
2. Choose any assignment
3. Look in the window to the right for weight. This must be set to 1 even if you do not intend to weight your grades
4. You must change this for each assignment and make sure on future assignments it is set to 1
Can I put grades in from home? Yes. You must use PowerTeacher:
1. Open the PT website http://170.222.96.144/teachers (This is the same for everyone working from home)
2. Log in with your username and password (first initial + lastname, phone # - unless changed)
3. Choose the assignment book icon for the class. Far most right icon
4. You will now see a place to enter an assignment. This assignment will be pulled into PowerGRade on your school computer the next time you open PowerGrade.
5. Once they are pulled into PowerGrade they are like any other grade
6. Note: you will not see PowerGrade assignments on the web. This only works to go from the web into PowerGrade. So if you begin an assignment in PowerGrade you cannot finish it on the website.
How do I enter a comment for a student? 1. Open PowerGrade
2. Choose (double click) the number next to the student’s name
3. Enter either public or private comments. Public will print out on progress reports and report cards
4. You can enter your own comments, or choose from the School’s (comment type) comments by double clicking the number code of the comment.
5. Now the number next to the student’s name will be in red indicating a comment
