Reunion Weekend
This year’s EFHS Alumni
Association Reunion Weekend was held on June 27-29, 2008. We had over 80
golfers at the Golf Tournament at the Enosburg Falls Country Club on Friday
afternoon. The tournament was a rousing success and contributed almost $500 to
our scholarship fund. We are extending a special thanks to Allen Demar (’70)
and Bob Young (’65) for their efforts in organizing this year’s Golf
Tournament.
There were more than 130 attendees at the Alumni Banquet and Dance at the air-conditioned Opera House on Saturday evening. We had an outstanding attendance by our senior classes. The Class of 1933 had five representatives celebrating their 75th anniversary. The attending members of the Class of ’33 included Hilda Draper Benoit, Dorothy Cyr Crane, Patty Stanley, Evelyn Weed Stanley and Floyd Weld. We would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to the Class of ’33 for contributing to the success of this year’s banquet.
The reunion classes for 2009 are 2004; 1999; 1994; 1989; 1983; 1979; 1974; 1969;
1964 and 1959. The banquet cost is tentatively $20 per person for classes
through 1958. Members from all classes before 1959 are invited on an annual
basis; the cost for these classes is tentatively $15 per person. You can
purchase or reserve banquet tickets via email; regular mail or by phone. Email
requests should be sent to Steve Hayes at efhs_alumni@yahoo.com. You can also
make reservations by mailing your request to Steve Hayes at 413 Butternut Road,
Williston, VT 05495.Tickets can be obtained in Enosburg Falls by calling Robert
Young at 802-933-4771. Reservations help us to insure that we can seat all alumni
with their respective class. The preferred form of payment is by check made out
to the EFHS Alumni Association. Tickets will be available in January, 2009.
Registration for the Golf Tournament will begin at 10:30 am at the Enosburg
Falls Country Club clubhouse on Friday, 6/27/08. The format is a 4-5 person
scramble with a shotgun start at noon. Please contact Allen Demar at
802-933-4612 to reserve a slot for a team in the tournament. The cost for the
Golf Tournament is $35 per player; carts are available for an additional fee.
Players are encouraged to register and pre-pay prior to the Tournament if
possible.
The Reunion dates for the next 5 years are listed below to help insure that
interested alumni are able to coordinate their travel plans and contact their
classmates well in advance.

Alumni Videos Available
The 2007 Alumni Golf Tournament was enhanced by the addition of a video record
of all of the attendees that was made at the first tee. The video also includes
some brief but priceless footage of an Enosburg baseball team that was recorded
in the mid-20th century. Copies of this video (DVD format) can be purchased for
the cost of $20 from Debbie Demar at the Merchants Bank in Enosburg or at the
Precious Things Store in Enosburg Falls, Vt. They can also be purchased by
sending payment to Steve Hayes at 413 Butternut Road, Williston, VT; please
include $4 for shipping costs for mail order requests. Payment should be by
check payable to the EFHS Alumni Association.
Alumni Directory
The Enosburg Falls High School Alumni Directory is currently available in its sixth edition printed in 2004. The directory lists all of the graduating classes from 1892 through 2004. It is available for purchase at the Precious Things Store or at the Enosburg Historical Society in Enosburg Falls. Directories can also be purchased by sending an email request to shayes@promodel.com . The cost is $15 per copy. Any updates or corrections to directory address listings can be made by sending the information to the same email address. Alumni Scholarship
The Alumni Association awards two scholarships each year to a son and a
daughter of Alumni Association members. The scholarships are awarded based on
academic merit. The amount was recently increased from $100 to $250 in an
effort to remain relevant in the face of the escalating cost of a college
education. Congratulations to the Scholarship winners from 2007; Cameron Doane
and Kayla Tipper.
