FNESU Home
Mission:
The
mission of the FNESU Learning Community is to adopt, promote, and
support high expectations for all its members. We will
provide a safe and effective learning environment for students,
incorporating mutual respect and clear learning goals for social,
emotional, academic, physical, and cultural development. The
FNESU will use data to monitor decisions and best practices so that
children learn and succeed in each area of development.
Vision:
The
FNESU believes that working as a Professional Learning Community will
lead to acheivement of our mission. The FNESU
members will:
*Unite to
achieve a common purpose and clear goals;
*Work
together in collaborative teams;
*Seek and
implement promising strategies for improving student acheivement on a
continuing basis;
*Monitor
each school's progress; and
*Demonstrate
a personal commitment to the academic success and general well-being of
all students.
Targets:
Reading:
Reduce by 10% the number of students falling in the bottom two
performance levels on state and local assessments in reading, while
maintaining or increasing the number of students who are meeting or
exceeding the standards.
Writing:
Reduce by
10% the number of students falling in the bottom two performance levels on
state and local assessments in writing, while maintaining or increasing
the number of students who are meeting or exceeding the standards.
Math:
Reduce by
10% the number of students falling in Resoucrs
the bottom two performance levels on
state assessments in math, while maintaining or increasing the number
of students who are meeting or exceeding the standards.
Positive
School Climate:
All
students will have a learning environment that is safe and respectful,
and where the dignity and uniqueness of each individual is honored.
